Blazers Kick Off Summer Events

As the National Lacrosse League season comes to a close, Boston Blazers operations are in full swing. Yesterday, we had a meeting with our seven summer interns followed by their first task of assembling our IKEA office furniture.

Final touches are being put on our permanent office space, across the street from the TD Banknorth Garden. It is an exciting time here in Boston as we prepare for the biggest lacrosse event of the year … the NCAA Final Four in Foxboro, Mass. Skeptics believed having the Final Four in New England would negatively affect attendance. All reports so far suggest another record crowd this weekend.

Not that I didn’t already know it, but the degree that sports permeate the culture here in New England is awesome. Last night, I helped work a table at the Boston Celtics vs. Detroit Pistons opening series game. It is exciting to see the enthusiasm people have for the return of the Blazers.

This weekend, the Blazers and National Lacrosse League are teaming up to provide fans with a taste of indoor lacrosse. We have rented space at the parking lot of East Coast Auto Sales directly across Route 1 from Gillette Stadium (59 Washington Street). We will have an inflatable rink where Blazer prospects will be conducting box lacrosse demonstrations. For all those who have watched a game and wondered how it was possible to score on an indoor goalie, here is your chance. See you there!
